Sheraton has installed Microsoft Surface Virtual Concierge 30-inch tables in the lobbies of five locations: Boston, New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco. Applications include CityTips with attractions, eateries, shopping, maps, and transportation; a digital jukebox; and SheratonSnapshots, a library of photos of Sheraton resorts.

Thanks for the info; this sounds like a very innovative idea. I will look forward to trying these features out if I stay in one of these locations. Let's hope they add them in more places soon!

I remember seeing something like this about 30 years ago, but it took quarters and only played Pac-Man. :D Seriously, it's a great idea for tech types on the go, but I have to wonder how long it will take before the public gets the surface all scratchy and unusable with car keys and coffee cups and maybe a type A fist pound thrown in for good measure... :D

I saw this technology at the NYC Visitors Center-it was a great and easy to use tool. Shows how partnering with great technology can really help a business improve its image and customer experience.
