Thank you very much for your interview. It has been frustrating having Disney ignore their fans as they did, which leaves you feeling, like, crazy or something. And angry. I mean, who simply ignores 21,000 signatures from *children*? (Answer: Disney). And so I think your interview was a real comfort to many of us. Thank you again!

Linda Zimmer

Hi, IsadoraQ. Thanks for your comments here.

I know that you and the 21,000 members of the community that signed are going through a difficult time with the loss of VMK. I think that even if Disney had to close VMK, you would like acknowledgment and communication from them. That is the most important aspect of feeling closure so you can move on well to your new community.

Do you plan to use one of Disney's newer worlds?

I love the info you have on here, but you have to think, Disney's loosing lots of money closing the game. Because VMK promoted the park, it made kids want to go to the park and buy their cards, pins, do the in park quests, ex. So, because they're loosing money, then wouldn't that affect their stocks too?

Linda

Hi, Miniature.

Yes, I do believe that Disney has lost a lot of loyalty and faith from people like you who love and miss VMK. I'm guessing you don't feel the same about Disney that you used to.

Unfortunately Disney did a poor job in my opinion in handling the VMK closing. The most unfortunate truth however is that Disney makes these business decisions not based on what they consider "the few" people in VMK, but on what they think will bring in larger groups of people - their new virtual worlds.

I happen to agree with you, that Disney could have left the VMK community up and running and provided you reasons to join other Disney worlds and "phased it out" if that was absolutely necessary rather than shutting it down. I really feel for you - I know it is a big loss.

VMK SHOULD NOT CLOSE even though they already closed it. I admired VMK so darn much. It was the only FUN game i really played. And i think they had over 15,000 active players. When i looked at the main page, i saw that they had over 70,000 people active. Why should they close it? Lots of people said that disneysick of it. i
dont dont think they were sick of it. And i think Disney made a huge mastake. And pluse when they first closed it, they lost millions of dollars.

I think that Disney should bring back vmk. There is so much that they can do with this game and they closed it. They could have added a virtual epcot and animal kingdom to it. They could have done more merchandising. It could have made them millions of dollars if they even made it pay to play. I wish that they would have thought this through before they closed a game that meant a lot of happiness to kids and adults everywhere. Bring Back VMK Disney.
