Transcript of the Business Communicators of Second Life Meeting – August 22.
Judging from the feedback, we had a very successful first meeting in-world this afternoon – or tonight – depending upon where you were in real time.
We also have much to share from the SLCC convention last weekend, as well, and we’ll be working that in over the next few days.
After everyone introduced himself or herself, Abbey Zenith of the Second Life Library 2.0 gave us a great tour of Info Island and the Library. Among the several buildings and collections she took us up to Parvenu Tower where the business collection is housed. We found bookcases with links to RL newspapers like the New York Times, computer stations with curated links to various business resources and information cards to explain how to use the resources of the in-world collection. Also, there are lots of places available to sit and talk. We didn’t have nearly enough time to explore everything. We wound up staying in Parvenu Tower and finishing our meeting in this beautiful library.
The discussion that followed was quite lively, hitting on several themes. While we didn’t discuss any one topic in-depth at this initial meeting, we got acquainted and the conversation allowed us to pinpoint some topics that the group seems to be interested in exploring. I picked out a summary of those themes and noted them below for convenience, but I’ve also posted the transcript of the entire meeting below. If you can’t read all of it, skip to the “Open Discussion” section within the transcript – but I do encourage you to read about the Library tour - and definitely visit Info Island.
If you haven't attended a meeting in SL, the transcript will give you an idea of how Chat works for meetings.
We’ll be exploring the best way to continue the discussion here. If you want to be an author, comment or email me at lzimmer[at]marcominteractive[dot]com and I'll add you. Until then, I’ll post a few thoughts/posts about our topics with the hope you’ll jump in here to comment, ask questions, give insights, share experience or best practices.
I’m working on another tour for our next meeting with an eye to choosing a place that will help us learn related to one of the topics below. Jump in with your suggestions or comments!
Suggested Areas of Exploration
- Possibility of Second Life for organizational communication
- Practical challenges of using SL environment
- Using SL for running events
- SL as a user interface
- SL as a medium of information dissemination & presentation
- Why access information in SL at all when we have the web?

[16:09] Lorelei Junot: what does marcom interacative do

[16:11] Lorelei Junot: Abbey is my right hand she takes care of so many details
[16:12] Lorelei Junot: if any of you are in other groups who needs tours

[16:12] You: Matthew?
[16:12] KeepMe Bussy: Hi Misty!
[16:12] Misty Rhodes: hiya!
[16:13] Matthew Sawchuk: Hi, I'm Matt O'Neill in RL. Running a specialist multimedia company in UK aimed around Organisational Communication... Currently developing specialist blog services for CEO's (new project)... Was chatting to a couple of clients about SL and possibilities
[16:13] Matthew Sawchuk: for running sl events
[16:13] Misty Rhodes: nice to meet u
[16:14] You: Great - that's what we are here to discuss and explore.
[16:14] You: Hayduke?
[16:14] Hayduke Ebisu: I'm with a tech research lab called MAYA Design (maya.com)... we help companies and organizations make their technology easier to use, everything from consumer devices to websites, etc
[16:15] Hayduke Ebisu: interested in SL as an interactive user interface
[16:15] Sandman Sadoul: MAYA, the 3d software?
[16:15] You: That is one our our primary interests as well.
[16:15] Hayduke Ebisu: nope... we license our name to them, actually... maya.com
[16:15] Sandman Sadoul: ok
[16:15] You: Genevieve - a short intro?
[16:16] Genevieve Luna: Hi, I'm the one who forgot my mouse. I'm a project manager and learning about Second Life
[16:16] You: We're glad you are here! Dreamy hello. Tell us a little about yourself.
[16:17] Misty Rhodes: I am happy to be here as well
[16:17] Misty Rhodes: i am Misty Rhodes all around sl socialite, hostess and resident of 3 years in world. I was also on the committee that did SLCC
[16:17] Misty Rhodes: u can thank me for the booze
[16:17] Misty Rhodes: lol
[16:18] You: lol - that was important indeed!
[16:18] Misty Rhodes: :o)
Meeting Overview
[16:18] You: This is our first meeting and I think we're all interested in seeing how SL can be a platform, and interface and is a new
[16:19] You: medium for information dissemination. Since that is what buisness communicators do - disseminate information and hopefully
[16:19] You: create dialogue, this seems a perfect place and way to start our group off.
[16:20] You: If we have time I'd like to discuss what we learned at the SL convention later, and a few other questions, but
[16:20] You: maybe we should do our tour first?
[16:20] You: Are you guys okay with that?
[16:20] Matthew Sawchuk: yes
[16:20] Sandman Sadoul: yeap
[16:20] Genevieve Luna: sounds great
[16:20] Hayduke Ebisu: sure...
[16:21] You: I think it will bring up some great things for us to discuss. We'll follow Abbey and Lori.
[16:21] You: Thanks, Lori!
[16:21] Abbey Zenith: Lori are you going to come?
[16:22] Abbey Zenith: Lori isn't feeling well... she was going to let me do the tour, so if everyone is ready, we can start.
[16:22] Abbey Zenith: First we will go by the ICT library.
[16:23] Abbey Zenith: flying might be faster lol
[16:24] Sandman Sadoul: can't control the landing yet
ICT Library
[16:24] Abbey Zenith: Inside you will find free scripts and tools to use on SL
[16:25] G24khamr Goodfellow: me neither -- feel teh like "greatest american hero"
[16:25] Altyn Zeddmore: hi misty
[16:25] KeepMe Bussy: Hi Ref
[16:25] KeepMe Bussy: Red
[16:25] Misty Rhodes: Hello Altyn
[16:25] Altyn Zeddmore: haven't seen you for a while
[16:25] Red Linden: heya keep
[16:26] Abbey Zenith: they are also in the process of putting together educational applicaitions for SL...several universitys are already using SL for educational purposes.
[16:26] Misty Rhodes: Hiya Red :o)
[16:26] Red Linden: hey misty
[16:26] Abbey Zenith: Hello Red.
[16:26] JohnT Randall: wow, this is cool, i never knew the library had this stuff...
[16:26] You: Abbey, what is the difference between the ICT and the main library?
[16:26] Abbey Zenith: There are many scripts and tools here, you may want to LM it to come back and explore sometime.
[16:26] Abbey Zenith: ICT is a partner, a different group.
[16:27] Abbey Zenith: They deal with technology.
[16:27] Abbey Zenith: From here we will go to the central library.
[16:28] Altyn Zeddmore: you're the first linden I've met.
[16:28] Abbey Zenith: this is the central library and it house refrerence along with our special collections and displays.
[16:28] Altyn Zeddmore: Hi Red
[16:28] Red Linden: hiya altyn
[16:28] G24khamr Goodfellow: may we ask questions along the way?
[16:28] Abbey Zenith: We offer books that can be "bought" for free :) Audio books and we links.
[16:28] Abbey Zenith: Sure :)
[16:28] Abbey Zenith: web links
[16:29] Abbey Zenith: the books we have inside are in the public domain.
[16:29] G24khamr Goodfellow: who decides what resources are included?
[16:29] Abbey Zenith: We are gathering what we can at this time... we depend on what is available in SL and what is in the public domain.
[16:30] Abbey Zenith: We have a collections committee to select resources.
[16:30] Abbey Zenith: This way is the medical library
[16:30] G24khamr Goodfellow: thanks!
[16:30] Sandman Sadoul: run forrest run
[16:30] Misty Rhodes: lol
Medical Library
[16:31] Misty Rhodes: this land is restricted
[16:31] Abbey Zenith: The medical libary offers a place for SL residents to ask or find links to medical inforamtion.
[16:31] Abbey Zenith: information :)
[16:31] You: the medical library isn't open yet, right?
[16:31] Abbey Zenith: It was one of the first open, but they have just moved into a new building, so perhaps not yet.
E-Book Display along the way
[16:32] Abbey Zenith: This display was created by Lori to link people to books online.
[16:32] flexi clothes - minoa original dummies guides whispers: First page.
[16:32] Abbey Zenith: the different objects link to web sites where electronic versions of books can be found.
[16:32] G24khamr Goodfellow: this is amazing!
[16:33] Misty Rhodes: that book rocks
[16:33] Abbey Zenith: Over on my left is our Mystery Manor, where we will have book talks and events that center around mysteries.
[16:33] Abbey Zenith: Ok at the end of the sidewalk is the library tower, that is our next stop.
[16:34] G24khamr Goodfellow: can anyone publish an e-book and make it available in SL?
[16:34] Abbey Zenith: Yes!
[16:34] G24khamr Goodfellow: very cool
Parvenu Tower
[16:35] Abbey Zenith: This tower houses the academic collection including floors for humanaties, science, and business.
[16:36] Abbey Zenith: there is also a theater at the top and in the lobby we have links to entertainment resources.
[16:36] Abbey Zenith: On the 2nd floor is a display about the Declaration of Independence, on loan to us from the Library of Congress.
[16:36] Misty Rhodes: oooh awesome
[16:37] You: How were you working with the Library of Congress - did they create the display?
[16:37] Abbey Zenith: The business collection is on the 3rd floor.
[16:37] Abbey Zenith: They gave materials to us and one of our librarians created the display.
[16:38] Abbey Zenith: there is TP inside but it is a bit slow for groups...
[16:38] Abbey Zenith: if you fly up to the balcony we can go in that way
[16:38] Sandman Sadoul: man, my feet are killing me
Business Collection at Parvenu Tower
[16:38] Misty Rhodes: wonderful build
[16:39] Abbey Zenith: Each of the computer monitors holds links to web resources...from 4-10 resources each.
[16:39] Abbey Zenith: the Information Notecard on each table gives you the same links in a print form.
[16:39] G24khamr Goodfellow: very nice!
[16:40] Abbey Zenith: I've kept the links to each area...such as bankruptcy or business start up on one computer to make finding information easier.
[16:40] Abbey Zenith: the Information note gives the links to all and instructions on how to use the monitors.
[16:41] Abbey Zenith: The newspapers have links to online news resources and we have started a government docs area in here too.
[16:41] Abbey Zenith: We are VERY interested in knowing what would be helpful to business people in SL and developing those resources.
[16:41] G24khamr Goodfellow: are all resources text based, or are there multimedia resourdces as well?
[16:41] Abbey Zenith: so feel free to make suggestions to me or Lori at any time.
[16:42] Abbey Zenith: In this area just text. We have some audio books in the central libary and some video presentations.
[16:42] You: Abbey, are there directories here of the SL businesses?
[16:43] Abbey Zenith: You are welcome to explore the other floors, but I won't take you there right now, I know you want to have your meeting. You are welcome to meet in here if you would like.
[16:43] Abbey Zenith: No, we don't have ethat at this time... would love to, though... is there such a thing?
[16:43] You: Great - why don't we take a few minutes and look at the collection and then we can proceed in here?
[16:43] Misty Rhodes: sounds good to me
[16:44] Matthew Sawchuk: yep
[16:44] Abbey Zenith: Great, I'll stick around for questions until the meeting starts again.
[16:44] You: Abbey, what are the biggest challenges here in SL for information exchange?
[16:44] An object named Spinning information Button owned by Abbey Zenith gave you Notecard.
[16:45] Abbey Zenith: The methods of delivery. It is difficult to know the best method and just when we think we have a handle on it something new comes along.
[16:45] G24khamr Goodfellow: for me it's knowing what is available and how to find it quickly.
[16:45] Abbey Zenith: We want to provide as many resources in as many ways as we can....and offer space for meetings and hold events.
[16:45] Sandman Sadoul: Mis Luna did u see the book about Kennedy's papers?
[16:46] You: It looks like you use mostly weblinks.
[16:46] Genevieve Luna: No, I didn't could you show me?:
[16:46] Abbey Zenith: We are going to be providing virtual reference soon, we already provide reference for a couple of hours each evening.
[16:46] Sandman Sadoul: follow me please
[16:46] Abbey Zenith: So that SL citizens will have the opportunity to ask what is available and how to find information.
[16:47] Abbey Zenith: Either by coming to the library or by sending an IM to a reference person.
[16:47] G24khamr Goodfellow: librarians are the key to a civilized society, RL or or SL :-)
[16:47] Abbey Zenith: Thanks :)
[16:48] You: What's next in information delivery in SL do you think, Abbey?
[16:48] Sandman Sadoul: my feet are killing me
[16:48] Abbey Zenith: Wow Znet, you guys are in a better position to answer that than me :)
[16:49] Abbey Zenith: I'm just trying to keep up with the technologies availiable in RL and on SL.
[16:49] Abbey Zenith: But I enjoy learning...and showing others.
[16:49] Abbey Zenith: Any other questions?
[16:49] G24khamr Goodfellow: you are creating an amazing place, you should be pleased!
[16:49] Misty Rhodes: Agreed!
[16:49] Matthew Sawchuk: yes, thanks for the tour!
[16:49] Abbey Zenith: Thank you, I am very pleased to be a part of this experience!
[16:50] Abbey Zenith: Welcome :)
[16:50] KeepMe Bussy: Thank you very much.
[16:50] You: do you get a lot of people using these resources
[16:50] Sandman Sadoul: so I have a question....
[16:50] Abbey Zenith: We are getting a good number, Lori would have to give you exact stats...but it grows every day.
[16:50] Sandman Sadoul: the resources here are available on the web as well
[16:51] Sandman Sadoul: what would make people to use these way to get to them?
[16:51] Abbey Zenith: I think after the grand opening in Oct. and when we start doing some events, it will be a good number.
[16:51] Abbey Zenith: Sandman, not sure I understood ?
[16:51] Sandman Sadoul: ok, all the info u have here is available on the web
[16:51] Abbey Zenith: Yes, on this floor.
[16:52] Sandman Sadoul: wy choose this format?
[16:52] Sandman Sadoul: why come here instead of using a browser
[16:52] Abbey Zenith: Good question...
[16:53] Abbey Zenith: I think that our thoughts on this are to offer a way for people to connect to resources while in SL. By providing them in sections, they may find resources they didn't know about.
[16:53] Abbey Zenith: You know... a browser gives you a million hits... but here you can find a direct link, we hope :)
[16:53] Matthew Sawchuk: hey guys, it's 1am in rl here... i can't keep my eyes open any longer... any chance of doing this slightly earlier next time so us UK people can participate without falling asleep?
[16:53] G24khamr Goodfellow: I agree, there is logic to the organization, whereas the "open web" can be more chaotic
[16:54] You: Yes, we will Matthew!
[16:54] Sandman Sadoul: it brings the user closer to a real life experience, braking the barrier of cyberworld, invisible info on the web? perhaps?
[16:54] Abbey Zenith: I'll leave you to your meeting so that you can finish up.
[16:54] Matthew Sawchuk: that'd be great... is there a group i can join, or will you keep us informed.
[16:54] Abbey Zenith: Yes Sandman :) Exactly.
[16:54] You: Okay Matthew. See you next time?
[16:54] Sandman Sadoul: thanks
[16:54] You: There is a group SL Business communicators
[16:54] Abbey Zenith: Yes you can join the SL Librarains group if you would like to keep up with our events.
[16:55] Abbey Zenith: Good night everyone :)
[16:55] Matthew Sawchuk: ok, will make sure i'm in both...
[16:55] G24khamr Goodfellow: good night!
[16:55] You: Bye Thanks Abbey!
[16:55] Misty Rhodes: Good night!
[16:55] Abbey Zenith: Thank you for coming :)
[16:55] Misty Rhodes: ty so very much!
Open Discussion
[16:55] KeepMe Bussy: I did meet two pple from Italy that will be organizing classes here for credit in the fall
[16:55] You: Everyone. I think Sandma's question is a really big one for us communicators.
[16:56] G24khamr Goodfellow: funny, i was thinking how interesting this would be for distance learning. "being in" a classroom...
[16:56] You: Keep Me, will you tell us about some other things you discovered at the SL Convention?
[16:57] KeepMe Bussy: I think that being in a virtual classroom is better than just taking an internet course
[16:57] KeepMe Bussy: where you are just memorizing text off a website
[16:57] G24khamr Goodfellow: and the teacher will know if you are falling asleep :-)
[16:57] You: Did you know there are 75+ Islands by universities and colleges, 61 universities teach classes in SL, 4.9 million square meters of non-for-profit held virtual land
[16:57] Matthew Sawchuk: nice to meet you all.... i hope to see you all again another time... just a couple of hours earlier, and i'm totally up for this!!
[16:57] Genevieve Luna: If you will all excuse me, I'm running out of batteries, and unfortunately don't have a cord to plug in. Thank you fr all of your time.
[16:57] G24khamr Goodfellow: nice to meet you too, cheers!
[16:57] KeepMe Bussy: you can have the same interaction that you might in a real classroom with the opp to meet people from all over
[16:57] You: Thanks, Matthew!!! Come back!
[16:58] KeepMe Bussy: Please do
[16:58] Matthew Sawchuk: would love to discuss the practical challenges of using this environment within organisations!
[16:58] You: That's the plan!
[16:58] KeepMe Bussy: I've also discovered, as Misty says, that their aren't those physical barriers that we normally havewhen intially meeting people
[16:59] Misty Rhodes: yes absolutely
[16:59] You: Well, there are 61 universities teaching classes here, not to mention businesses using the environment for training
[17:00] KeepMe Bussy: Yes, the Italians were focused on business classes
[17:00] G24khamr Goodfellow: do we know what kind of training? Employee comm or other?
[17:00] You: That is in Parioli
[17:01] You: they are teaching business and marketing.
[17:01] You: Students learn about setting up a business, doing displays and creating products.
[17:01] You: They are teaching them how to marketing the products to the residents
[17:01] You: and of course about the monetary aspects - since there is a currency here.
[17:01] G24khamr Goodfellow: I could see this as interesting way to do product demos, incorporating video and/or slides, etc.
[17:02] You: Yes. Another interesting thing the New Media Consotrium is doing is using the music channel on their island
[17:02] You: to stream audio for presentations and panel discussions.
[17:03] Misty Rhodes: yes broadens the interaction
[17:03] G24khamr Goodfellow: or like the Home Run Derby, integrating real world events with another event in SL to extend/enhance the experience
[17:03] Sandman Sadoul: ok, so let me play devil's advovate...
[17:03] You: I just love that idea! you can be traveling around the island, but still listening to the discussion.
[17:03] Misty Rhodes: yes
[17:03] Misty Rhodes: i always stream sl Town Halls on my land
[17:04] Sandman Sadoul: we are ina moment were not only amount of info is esential, but speed to get that info is very importrant
[17:04] You: Whee is your land?
[17:04] Misty Rhodes: I live in Limantour
[17:04] Misty Rhodes: own about 61% of that mainland region
[17:04] Sandman Sadoul: I feel 2L puts a lot of obstacles in this case
[17:04] You: Your are right, Sandman. But SL isn't always speedy.
[17:04] Misty Rhodes: and when u stream
[17:04] Misty Rhodes: u really open up the sl world to u
[17:05] G24khamr Goodfellow: I see your point, it's an issue for me for sure.
[17:05] Misty Rhodes: because any landowner can take that link and host on thier land
[17:05] Misty Rhodes: that cuts the lag and the crowds
[17:05] You: Misty, I hear a lot of talk about integrating Skype conversations - is that something you have experience with?
[17:05] Misty Rhodes: i love skype
[17:05] G24khamr Goodfellow: I think for now, though, there are tradeoffs for speed that are worthwhile, such as interactions like this.
[17:05] Misty Rhodes: i have talked with 6 people at the same time
[17:05] Misty Rhodes: as if they were in my living room
[17:06] You: Everyone needs to be on the skype call though?
[17:06] Misty Rhodes: yes
[17:06] Misty Rhodes: but we can still type in world for those not able to use it
[17:06] Misty Rhodes: i find it good when running an event
[17:07] Misty Rhodes: u can talk in skype with those involved like backstage chatter
[17:07] KeepMe Bussy: Misty I really feel like I am sitting next to you, especially since we've already met
[17:07] Misty Rhodes: yes!
[17:07] Misty Rhodes: that was my second SLCC and it just gets better
[17:07] You: the sense of proximity is very real - and with voice that is magnified.
[17:08] KeepMe Bussy: I would much rather prefer this than a conference call with several anonymous people
[17:08] Misty Rhodes: for another example
[17:08] You: SLCC was great - what was the most interesting thing you got out of it?
[17:08] Misty Rhodes: Philip did a town hall where the residents used skype to ask questions
[17:08] Altyn Zeddmore: excuse me, how do I get upstairs?
[17:08] Misty Rhodes: not just ims in world
[17:08] Sandman Sadoul: fly
[17:08] Misty Rhodes shouts: Fly up to the balcony Altyn
[17:09] Altyn Zeddmore: thanks
[17:09] KeepMe Bussy: I like the idea that the residents who come here actually perceive this as a real environment and not just a commercial application
[17:10] Misty Rhodes: we take offense lol to sl being referred to as a game
[17:10] You: It is very real. One of the things that Mitch Kapor said was this has expanded his definition of what is real.
[17:10] Misty Rhodes: yes!
[17:11] G24khamr Goodfellow: Keep, if that's the case, how does business and e-commerce fit in? Will residents resist "commercialization,"
[17:11] G24khamr Goodfellow: or will they accept it as part of the RL that needs to also be in SL?
[17:11] KeepMe Bussy: I think that they accept it
[17:12] Misty Rhodes: e commerce is already here
[17:12] Misty Rhodes: alive and well
[17:12] Misty Rhodes: u have it with in world businesses
[17:12] G24khamr Goodfellow: True, but i've heard some resistance to the fact that some PR companeis have set up shop here...
[17:12] Misty Rhodes: and u now have rl manufacturers like American Aparrel
[17:12] KeepMe Bussy: This world is not a utopia, in that sense it is like RL, it needs an economy to sustain it
[17:13] G24khamr Goodfellow: I think it may be more an issue of acceptance of marketing messages.
[17:13] Misty Rhodes: i have seen controversary on every new thing that has come into sl
[17:13] Misty Rhodes: its the same in first life
[17:13] Misty Rhodes: but u cannot stop progress
[17:13] G24khamr Goodfellow: true :-)
[17:13] You: Misty, do you think residetns know that they need RL businesses to come into help sustain the economy?
[17:13] Misty Rhodes: and all the changes have in no way affected my second life
[17:13] Misty Rhodes: save for the new people it brings in that I get to meet
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: i would think common sense would show that
[17:14] You: Do you have a business here Misty?
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: but some I am sure are totally unaware
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: i make clothing
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: but i do not put a lot of time into it
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: i have always enjoyed meeting people more
[17:14] Misty Rhodes: when I started here 3 years ago
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: i knew how to do nothing
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: but was friendly so i started doing free raffles
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: and gave away all my linden dollars
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: this in turn
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: has led me to meeting so very many
[17:15] Misty Rhodes: and i have had the big businesses in sl
[17:15] Altyn Zeddmore: afk
[17:16] Misty Rhodes: come back and say if not for my raffles they would not have been able to afford the upload fees needed to start their businesses
[17:16] Misty Rhodes: so i find that priceless and it means much to me
[17:16] You: So you have sustained many people. I find that is an attitude among a lot of residents.
[17:17] KeepMe Bussy: Now that I think about, commerce does break down the sense of "community" in some way
[17:17] You: What is the one piece of advice to a big RL company coming in to SL to find out about it?
[17:17] Misty Rhodes: i think its the underbelly or better phrase the moral fiber in sl
[17:17] Misty Rhodes: we all start the same
[17:17] Misty Rhodes: those that help mold us in those first days
[17:17] Misty Rhodes: we never forget
[17:17] KeepMe Bussy: Everyone wants their own island, their own things
[17:18] Misty Rhodes: i think Fizik made a good point to sellers in world
[17:18] You: KeepMe, I think that comment is one we should discuss next time. We're beyond our hour.
[17:18] Misty Rhodes: that even if u give away your entire inventory
[17:18] Misty Rhodes: u are creating walking ads for your business
[17:18] Misty Rhodes: and it will come back ten fold
[17:19] Misty Rhodes: word of mouth goes a long way in here
[17:19] You: That is so true - but then that nasty habit of making money to pay the bills starts working.
[17:19] Misty Rhodes: nods
[17:19] You: Misty, will you come back next time and share your expertise and insights?
[17:20] Misty Rhodes: but u make a good product or run for a good cause and people in sl are very supportive
[17:20] Misty Rhodes: i would love to
[17:20] Misty Rhodes: i cannot thank you enuf for inviting me
[17:20] You: Thanks! And thanks everyone.

[17:21] Misty Rhodes: click Edit
[17:21] Misty Rhodes: then Select All
[17:21] Misty Rhodes: then Edit Copy
[17:22] Misty Rhodes: then Edit Paste to a notecard or paste into word
[17:22] Sandman Sadoul: wow...

Hi, I'm the community manager of Work.com, a community of businesspeople who exchange how-to guides to doing business. I am wondering if you could recommend someone to write a general guide to doing business in Second Life.
Thank you!
